Ashley Dawson-Bottorff, founder of INDB Consulting, is a passionate educational consultant dedicated to elevating services for all individuals, especially those with diverse learning needs. She partners with schools, parents, and agencies to achieve superior educational outcomes.

With over two decades of hands-on school experience, Ashley has guided students and staff from preschool through 12th grade in diverse environments. Her roles have spanned teaching exceptional learners, coordinating special programs for a major urban school district, administrating a private school, and serving as a K-12 instructional coach. Throughout her career, she's maintained a steadfast commitment to continuous growth and empowering others through coaching, consistently driving improved student achievement.

Ashley's current offerings include delivering professional development on best practices for teaching students with disabilities and advocating in IEP meetings to ensure a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). As a non-attorney special education advocate, she also simplifies the IEP process for families. Furthermore, drawing directly from her doctoral research, she provides groundbreaking specialized training for educators on effectively integrating and supporting AI in the classroom.

Academically, Ashley earned her BA in Special Education with an Educational Technology minor from Purdue University (2000) and an MA in Special Education (Director of Exceptional Needs licensure) from Ball State University. She holds comprehensive Indiana licensure, including a P-12 building principal license, a Director of Special Education License, a Special Education Teacher license, and an Early Literacy Endorsement. She is currently advancing her expertise by pursuing an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Innovation, with her research focused on AI implementation in education.

Based near Indianapolis, Indiana, Ashley extends her virtual services to clients across all U.S. states and territories. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys gardening, hiking, various craft projects, and passionately cheering on the Purdue Boilermakers.
